CURATOR'S NOTESAsst. Prof. Mary Ann Venturina Bulanadi, Ph.D.
Devotion 2 offers the same subject as Devotion 1, which connotes the strong Filipino devotion towards the Nuestra Senora de Guia,. The contrast happens at the bottom of the art work, shifting from the cool blue of Devotion 1 to the warmer earth tones of the devotees' shirts. The devotees bring their hands in a gesture of prayer, from which we gather strength in spite of many adversaries.
